Lets Meet The Cheese's
STEBBS-Vox and rhythm guitar
One of the earliest members of cheesegrater, he's been with the band since the "How fat is your monkey?" sessions and kinda like Bobby G from Bucks Fizz he refuses to give up on them! Originally he just screamed and shouted obscenitys into a microphone whilst jumping about like a chimp on speed! Now however he has begun to calm down with his growing interest in the Emo Punk scene and has taken up playing guitar and occasionaly attempting to sing actually in tune, to the disgust of many hardcore fans! He however remains firm in his statement that "emo will save the world!". A recent change in image led him to cut off much of his previously long and hippyish hair in favour of a more sensible cut and can also be seen wearing a shirt and tie on stage occasionaly!
TAYLOR-Lead Guitar and backing vox
Taylor is the newest member of cheesegrater, joining the band about half a year after the very first cheesegrater gig. He however found his place in the band with remarkable speed, initially steering the cheese away from their Anracho punk routes with heavy contributions to such songs as "comic shop guy" and "kickback", which gave rise to the term Sugar-Anarcho punk which is now closely associated with Cheesegrater! His current position in the band is lead guitarist and "the one who wears the makeup"! On stage he wows audiences with his incredibly cheesy trademark lead guitar playing and rock star like activities including playing topless and "rock god" poses! Offstage he can usually be found either applying his makeup or doing humorous Brian Molko impressions (ask him to do the one where Brian is caught taking a piss by My Vitriol frontman Som Wardner! Hilarious!)
BAILEY-Rhythm guitar and backing vox
Bailey is the original rhythm guitarist from cheesegrater and the only member to have never swapped instruments throughout the history of cheesegrater (ignoring a short stint on vocals for the cheesegrater cover of Hotel Yorba by white stripes). Possibly the punkiest member of cheesegrater he acts as a kind of Anarcho anchor for the rest of the band, always making sure that we never stray too far away from our roots as an anarcho band by shouting at us while drunk about how cheesegrater sold out after the Lopham gig! His hatred of emo and all things non punk lead him to have many heated debates with the bands emo lovers, Greg and Stebbs! Although it all gets sorted out in the end when Mr Belding comes along and gives us a stern talking to! On stage he maintains a kinda vacant but punk as fuck image making him the perfect rhythm guitarist! He can also be seen driving around various members of cheesegrater in the "cheesemobile"!
GREG-bass
Greg originally played drums in cheesegrater although it wasnt long before extreme pressure from the female contingent of the world led us to move him into the front line of the band where the girls (and maybe even some blokes) could get a better view of the floppy haired stud! Now he plays bass and a fine job of it he does to, a former member of On a Friday he is one of the actually musically talented members of the band putting us all to shame with extravagant bass fills and musical knowledge beyond his years! He is also currently holding the position of bassist in MoonDolly, another local band who play "living on a prayer" by bon jovi, in their set I believe...Respect! At rehearshals Greg would often disapear for hours on end after a particularly aggresive rendition of 15 second song or squeal! We would search high and low for the young emo lover before eventually finding him cowering in a cupboard playing get up kids numbers to himself and wimpering! On stage Greg just tends to stand there feeding off the addulation he gets from the ladies like some kind of giant love leech from a B-movie and offstage he can be found running scared away from large mobs of girls like a small puppy! awwwwww! Greg is undoubtedly the pin up member of cheesegrater and probably the most likely out of us to marry that woman from the Scottish Widow commercials!
